"John introduces a perspective on salvation that may be surprising. Most Christians think of salvation as what happens at the end of life….John…adds another dimension. By becoming united to Jesus ... one develops a whole new relationship with God." This "Eternal life now" is vitally felt in this excellent movie. The Gospel of John was used straight as the script for the film. The author of the gospel was an accomplished script writer - it is hard to notice that one is listening to 2000 year old dialogue!
